Yes on Prop 37 GIVEAWAY: Mom Made Foods — $50 value

In honor of Prop 37 in California, I am pleased to host a giveaway supporting the labeling of GMO foods.  As you know, this fight might not be happening in your state, but as California goes, so does the nation on these things.

But first of all, can I just say that I love Mom Made Foods?  I don’t know about you, but I’m a busy mom, and finding quick real food meals for my kids is a big win in my book.  I am constantly at health foods stores reading lists of ingredients, usually irritated that sunflower oil is used so often.

Not so with Mom Made Foods!  They use palm shortening, which is a healthy, traditional fat.  And their ingredients are mostly organic, natural, and preservative-free.  In fact, their meats are antibiotic-free, too.

But the best part?  That these meals are fast.  Quick real food munchies and meals for my kids, yay!  Perfect for a busy day.But back to Prop 37.  Did you know that if Prop 37 passes with enough yes votes, GMO labeling will be required for all commercially available foods? Of course, Monsanto and other corporate farming and Big Ag interest groups have spent millions of dollars trying to buy their way into enough no votes to defeat Prop 37.

Mom Made Foods is one of the companies that is standing by us in this food fight.  With the money that they raise from your donations through this giveaway, we can make a difference in Prop 37’s chances of passing in California!  Please, donate what you can, sign up for the giveaway, and then share share share this post!

This is a critical issue facing our health and well-being in this country.  Other parts of the world have already banned GMOs, but have too many corporate interests in the U.S. assuring us that we are worried for nothing.

Well, I am going to worry.  My son was born with a cleft lip and palate, and I am not going to trust Monsanto to tell me that GMO food is safe for his internal organs after his DNA has already been compromised by environmental stressors like pesticides, toxins, and genetically modified foods!  I am not an experiment, and neither are my kids.

  1. It is sad to me that there is even a need for GMO labeling but because there is, I think it is important that we have GMO labeling so that we can become informed consumers. It is time for America to stop hiding what’s in our food!!!

  2. I support prop 37 for our children and grandchildren to have clean, naturally grown food. Evil designs of men today are in it for the money and care nothing for our health. I have learned from websites like this and I have lost 44 pounds so far by eating healthy, fresh foods and portions. I am on the journey to cure my diabetes and high blood pressure. I used to take 90 units of insulin a day (and the doc wanted me on more), but now I am insulin free and my A1C is an entire point lower. I want to be healthy and want my family healthy.
